According to the data recently released by China Semiconductor Industry Association, in the first quarter of 2021, the sales of China’s integrated circuit (IC) industry reached 173.93 billion yuan, with a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 18.1%. Among others, the design industry shows a YoY growth of 24.9%, the sales volume being 71.77 billion yuan; the manufacturing industry shows a YoY growth of 20.1%, the sales volume being 54.21 billion yuan; the packaging test industry shows a YoY growth of 7.3%, the sales volume being 47.95 billion yuan.
According to customs statistics, in Q1 2021, China imported 155.27 billion IC boards, with a YoY growth of 33.6%; the imports reached USD 93.6 billion, with a YoY growth of 29.9%. We exported 73.7 billion IC boards, with a YoY growth of 42.7%; the exports reached USD 31.46 billion, with a YoY growth of 31.7%.
