Recently, Lens Technology, one of the leading consumer electronics companies, announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lens Optoelectronics, has strategically acquired a controlling stake in Tongsheng Optoelectronics, further strengthening its core optoelectronic technology and production capacity layout.
Tongsheng Optoelectronics is a leading player in China's hollow-core fiber sector, holding fundamental structural patents for anti-resonant hollow-core fibers and 21 key process technologies. The company has independently developed high-precision graphite furnaces and air pressure control algorithms, and possesses full-process in-house capabilities spanning design, drawing, and measurement. Its products cover communications, AI computing, sensing, energy transmission, medical, and other fields.
Lens Technology's main businesses include smartphones and computers, new energy vehicles and cockpits, smart headsets and smart wearables, as well as other smart terminal devices.
Lens Technology stated that this acquisition is highly aligned with its strategic direction. Tongsheng Optoelectronics' hollow-core fibers and optical sensing devices will enhance Lens Optoelectronics' technology portfolio, further enrich its comprehensive capabilities in optical waveguides, optical transmission, and optical sensing products, and help establish a complete industrial chain integrating "precision structural manufacturing + high-end optoelectronic components." By fully leveraging Lens Technology's global customer resources and manufacturing strength, the company aims to accelerate the large-scale commercialization of high-end optoelectronic products.
