Huawei's Rotating Chairman Hu Houkun Explained the Transfer of 5G Technology Proposal

Updated:2019/9/18 14:50

Ren Zhengfei, founder and president of Huawei, recently said that it can transfer all 5G technologies to Western companies. Buyers can use Huawei's existing 5G patents, licenses, codes, technical blueprints and production technologies for a one-time fee. Thereby the contradictions and struggles can be balanced.

Hu Houkun, vice chairman and rotating chairman of Huawei, explained this today. He pointed out that making such a proposal is not an incomprehensible issue. If Huawei's proposal is realized, at least 5G global supply chain will generate more competition, which is good for users and the development of the industry. Huawei is also happy to see such a situation.

At the same time, because they haven't mastered 5G capability, some Western countries such as the United States have many doubts about Huawei's 5G solution, although there is no basis. And if they can help these countries master 5G in a commercial way, it will also help reduce their so-called "security concerns" about Huawei.
