At the annual stockholders’ meeting of China Mobile, the chairman of China Mobile, Yang Jie said that he thought the 5G license would be issued by supervision organizations in Chinese mainland this year, but he also expressed that the specific time was to be decided by the organizations, and it would be reported in a timely manner.
In terms of the rates, Yang Jie thought 5G might differ from the current mode simply based on data usage, as the fee might be charged according to more standards such as network flux, time delay, speed, and band width.
Besides, Yang Jie expected 2020-2022 to be the peak period of investment in 5G.
