Lately China Mobile duly released its 2020 intelligent hardware quality report. In the 5G chip evaluation section of the report, Huawei's Kirin 990 showed faster download speed than others while MTK's Dimensity 1000+ made a remarkable performance in power consumption amid data transmission.
As China Mobile puts 5G into massive commercialization, 5G chips play an increasingly favorable part in 5G booming based on powerful operating capacity, ultra-fast download/upload speed and outstanding power consumption. Upon massive commercialization, the carrier organized its first performance evaluation on 5G chips. Under SA circumstances, this evaluation was mainly concerned with such 5G chip properties as the data download/upload, voice communication and power consumption.
Four major chips took relevant trials, including Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+X55, Huawei Kirin 990, MTK Dimensity 1000+, and Samsung Exynos980. Such chips were scrutinized for 27 indicators in 18 scenarios from four dimensions.
