Advancing Core Network Intelligence to Support the Digital-First Strategy
In 2025, Telecom Argentina S.A. consolidated its consumer brand under Personal, reinforcing its commitment to delivering a fully digital and personalized experience aligned with TM Forum’s ZERO-X vision of “zero-touch, zero-wait, and zero-trouble.” To support this ambition at the mobile core level, Personal further enhanced the intelligent O&M capabilities of one of its 5G core networks by deploying Huawei’s ICNMaster (MDAF) solution. The solution collects performance indicators, alarms, and KPI data in real time, improving the analysis step in the closed-loop autonomous system—elevating core network operations from rule-based automation to advanced AI-driven autonomy.
High Stability: Minute-Level Fault Locating and Proactive Prevention
During solution verification, MDAF demonstrated strong capabilities in rapid fault locating and proactive risk prevention. For instance, when a sudden power outage in Buenos Aires led to an MME pool overload, MDAF performed multi-dimensional analysis and accurately identified within minutes that the anomaly was driven by a large number of S1 link failures on a single MME. The system then automatically generated optimization recommendations. MDAF also supports proactive simulation and evaluation of signaling storms, identifying bottlenecks in advance and recommending flow-control policies. This solution reduces assessment time drastically, transforming O&M system from reactive response to proactive prevention.
High Efficiency: Visualized Monitoring and Intelligent Root Cause Analysis

Through enhanced visualized monitoring capabilities across mobile core services, networks, and resources, Personal gains real-time visibility into network performance and configuration. The system also provides automated alarm correlation and intelligent root cause analysis, significantly reducing troubleshooting time and improving O&M efficiency. Looking ahead, Personal plans to integrate additional ICNMaster components, such as NOEMate (intelligent assistant), CompSpirit (complaint handling agent), and FaultSpirit (fault management agent)—to advance from automated O&M toward full autonomy in the mobile core domain, supporting its "Digital First" strategy.
