At today's 2024 Aerospace Information Industry International Ecosystem Conference, Huawei's Executive Director, Chairman of Device BG, and Chairman of Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU, Yu Chengdong, delivered a speech.
Yu Chengdong stated that in recent years, Huawei has taken the lead in using BeiDou high-precision positioning technology, continuously promoting application innovations and enhancing satellite communication competitiveness. The company has actively explored creating a future communication system that ensures "seamless space-ground integration without loss of connection." In the future, Huawei aims to achieve large-scale commercial use by continuously breaking through key technologies and leveraging satellite internet to build a seamless and multi-dimensional super connection network.
Yu Chengdong also remarked, "Huawei is the first to support BeiDou high-precision positioning and BeiDou messaging. China's 5G development has been very fast, and this year China is entering the 5.5G era. It is said that 6G would be an integrated space-ground system, but we believe we may not need to wait for 6G. We hope to achieve an integrated space-ground communication network starting from 5.5G."
