At today's launch event for the Huawei Mate 80 series, Mate X7, and a range of new all-scenario products, Yu Chengdong, Huawei's Executive Director and Chairman of the Terminal BG, announced that the Mate 80 is the first to feature 700MHz emergency communication without network coverage.
This industry-first 700MHz offline communication function establishes a lifeline in emergencies such as earthquakes, floods, or getting lost in the wild where network connectivity is unavailable, bridging the last-mile communication gap between users and rescue teams. The 700MHz emergency frequency rescue signal can penetrate up to three floors deep and cover a communication distance of over 13 kilometers, providing crucial support for disaster relief efforts.
