Recently, China Unicom released the "Prequalification Announcement for the 2025 China Unicom 5G Messaging System and Centralized SMS Center Procurement Project," officially launching the prequalification process for the initiative.
This procurement aims to meet user growth, business operations, and maintenance management requirements, covering deployments across 31 provinces nationwide.
The procurement primarily includes two major components: the 5G messaging system and the centralized SMS center. Among them, the 5G messaging system encompasses upgrades to 5G messaging functionality, enhancements to the industry MaaP platform, a total of 8 DNS sets, and corresponding 5G messaging capacity.
The centralized SMS center involves SMS center relocation services, functional upgrades and modifications to the SMS center, 34 sets of disaster recovery SMS center functions across three locations, and corresponding SMS center capacity.
This project is classified as a goods procurement tender and adopts a prequalification method without dividing the bid packages. The construction funds are self-raised by the tendering party, and the project is now ready for tendering.
