Recently, China Mobile Procurement and Tendering Network released two public notices on candidates for the centralized procurement of new core network equipment. Both the centralized procurement of new equipment for China Mobile's 9th Phase IoT Core Network Project (2025-2026) and the centralized procurement of new equipment for the Cloud-Native Core Network Project (2025-2026) were converted from the second tender to negotiations, with Huawei and ZTE selected as the winning candidates.
For the 9th Phase IoT Core Network Project, the procurement scope includes 105,000 PDU sessions for the User Plane Function (UPF), 513 sets of Edge UPF/UPF+, 105,000 PDU sessions for the Session Management Function (SMF), 2,540 bearing nodes for the Signaling Security Gateway, and 105,000 PDU sessions for the Charging Function (CHF).
Regarding the 9th Phase Cloud-Native Core Network Project, the procured product is NWDAF (Network Data Analytics Function) equipment, with a procurement scale of 59.42 million users. The maximum bid limit is 358,912,212.42 yuan (total tax-exclusive price), and the actual bid response is approximately 320 million yuan.
