The first 50 cities of China Unicom to open 5G business include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Tianjin, Wuhan, Jinan, Zhengzhou, etc. With the open default mode, users can login to the 5G network with 5G mobile phone, and the peak speed of terminal network access can reach 300Mbps.
The 5G data plan of China Unicom is divided into seven categories from 129 yuan to 599 yuan, with data traffic ranging from 30GB to 300GB. Users who have participated in 5G data plan reservation activity before can directly enjoy the monthly plan discount for 6 consecutive months, and old users of 3 years or more can enjoy a 70% discount.
Wang Xiaochu, chairman of China Unicom, said that at present, China Unicom and China Telecom have opened 5G co-built and shared base stations in 24 provinces and cities. Taking the speed as an example, the latest test data show that the peak speed of shared 5G network can reach 2.5Gpbs, which is the highest speed of existing 5G Network in the world.
