China Mobile and Huawei Won GLOMO's Best AI-Powered Network Solution Award for AI+Network O&M

Updated:2026/3/10 15:35

At MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei and China Mobile were honored with the prestigious GSMA GLOMO award for "Best AI-Powered Network Solution," recognizing their groundbreaking "AI+Network" Operation Transformation solution. This award acknowledges industry's excellent practices in integrating AI with networks to deliver quantifiable business benefits. It affirms that the autonomous network (AN) has enabled a comprehensive intelligent transformation of China Mobile's networks, while also highlighting the industry's strong recognition of Huawei's innovation in network intelligence.

With the continuous evolution of cloud-native technologies and the proliferation of multiple RATs, core network complexity has grown significantly in recent years. To address mounting O&M challenges, China Mobile adopted Huawei's core network ICNMaster (MDAF) to comprehensively empower the O&M production process, leveraging advanced technologies such as large language models, agents, digital twins, and more. Already in planned commercial deployment across service domains such as 5GtoC (Consumer) and 5GtoV (Vehicle Connectivity), the solution is delivering remarkable results and now spans more than 10 provincial divisions of China Mobile. Take 5GtoC fault handling and 5GtoV complaint handling as examples.

In the 5GtoC scenario, core network faults are automatically resolved through fault management agents. They respond to and handle faults based on the severity, enabling a fully automated closed-loop process that covers perception, analysis, decision-making, and execution. For minor faults, the agents deliver root cause analysis along with recovery recommendations after automatic analysis using the chain-of-thought (CoT) reasoning. For major faults, they intelligently select available paths by leveraging OptVerse AI Solver to preferentially restore services. This significantly reduces average service recovery time—from 90 minutes down to just 15 minutes.

In the 5GtoV scenario, IoV complaint handling is fully automated through fault management agents. By leveraging a core network signaling domain model and coordination between large and small models, the agents reshape the workflow to automatically orchestrate classification, root-cause analysis, and signaling diagnostics. With results automatically synced to trouble tickets, this solution reduces SLA response time by 3 hours and achieves over 90% demarcation accuracy, ensuring reliable services for 23 million vehicle owners.

This solution also introduces the world's first carrier-grade A2A-T multi-agent communication protocol, enabling autonomous collaboration between the core network domain and other domains and elevating network autonomy from "single-point intelligence" to "collective intelligence."

Huawei ICNMaster will continue to integrate industry-leading AI with core network O&M, centered on dual objectives: unwavering network stability and higher O&M efficiency. This solution will drive the evolution from scenario-specific to single-domain autonomy, accelerating the full realization of AN L4.
