January to October, China's Teleservice Revenue Reached 1,097.3 Billion Yuan, Rose 0.2% YoY

From January to October, the revenue of teleservice totaled 1,097.3 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 0.2%, reversing the flat revenue in the first half and the first three quarters, and reached 105.9 billion yuan in October, with a year-on-year increase of 2.6%, as shown by the data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

As of the end of October, the three basic telecommunications operators accumulated a total number of mobile phone users of 1.599 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 2.9%, i.e., a net increase of 32.91 million from the end of the previous year. Thereinto, the number of 4G users was 1.269 billion, accounting for 79.4% of mobile phone users, i.e., a 5% rise in proportion from the end of the previous year.

From January to October, the cumulative traffic of the mobile Internet reached 99.9 billion GB, while the growth rate dropped to 83.6% year-on-year. Thereinto, the traffic via mobile phone reached 99.5 billion GB, accounting for 99.6% of the total mobile Internet traffic, and the growth rate dropped to 85.6% year-on-year. In October, the average mobile Internet access traffic (DOU) reached 8.54GB.
