On May 8, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued an official announcement titled "The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Approves Technology Trial Frequencies for the Sixth-Generation Mobile Communication System," granting the IMT-2030 (6G) Promotion Group a license to use the 6GHz band for 6G trial frequencies. The approval supports 6G technology trials in select regions, enabling research and development as well as testing and verification efforts targeting the typical scenarios and key performance indicators of 6G as defined by the International Telecommunication Union.
This approval of 6G technology trial frequencies will strongly promote the high-quality development of 6G in China.
