According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), China will accelerate the development of 5G network construction with more than 600,000 5G base stations expected to be built nationwide by the end of 2020, realizing continuous outdoor coverage in prefecture-level cities, key coverage in counties and townships, and indoor coverage in major scenarios.
By the end of February, 164,000 5G base stations had been established across the country.
Ever since this year, China's 5G mobile phones have gradually become the main driving force for the market growth. As of March 26, there are 76 types of 5G mobile phones in China, with a cumulative shipment of more than 26 million sets.
