Huawei Mate Series Reaches 100 Million Shipments

Updated:2023/8/30 21:06

On August 29th, Huawei announced that the cumulative shipments of the Mate series smartphones have reached 100 million units, marking an important milestone in the development of high-end smartphones in Huawei and even in China. Huawei also launched the "HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro Pioneer Program," allowing some consumers to experience the "most powerful Mate phone in history" in advance.

As one of Huawei's flagship series, the Mate series has always emphasized "ultimate technology" since its launch in 2013, exploring the future with strong and refined craftsmanship. It has continuously delved into long battery life and super-fast charging, creating one miracle after another. At the same time, Huawei was one of the first manufacturers to incorporate photography technology, AI, and NPU processors into smartphones, constantly bringing innovative and excellent experiences to users. The Mate series is often the first to debut new technologies and features.

Based on the "Pioneer Program," Huawei's online store (VMALL) launched a limited number of Mate 60 Pro devices at 12:08 on August 29th, with only one version available: 12GB+512GB, which quickly sold out.

According to the user letter and configuration information released by Huawei's online store, the Mate 60 Pro adopts a concentric design, with color inspiration drawn from magnificent mountains and rivers. It comes in four color options: Elegant River Green, White Sands Silver, Southern Nuo Purple, and Yadan Black. It features a 6.82-inch display with FHD+ 2720x1260 resolution and debuts the second-generation Kunpeng Glass, which has twice the drop resistance compared to the previous generation.

Huawei has made another breakthrough in the satellite field. The Mate 60 Pro is the world's first mass-market smartphone that supports satellite calls. Even without ground network signals, users can make and receive satellite calls effortlessly, keeping them connected at all times.

However, it is regrettable that the configuration column does not indicate whether the new device is equipped with Huawei's latest Kirin chipset or supports 5G.
