According to Huawei's latest annual sustainability report, the company employed up to 195,000 personnel by the end of 2021, 107,000 of which — that’s about 54.8% — were tasked to R&D.
At the same time, 64% of the workforce working for its overseas branches were hired locally, with reports suggesting that the entire company’s human resource structure is made up of talents from 163 countries and regions worldwide. In 2021, Huawei’s overseas branches recruited more than 4,000 employees locally, creating jobs and promoting the economies therein.
