China Telecom announced its major operation data of January 2022. Its mobile subscribers witnessed a net increase of 3.07 million in January, with the total number reaching 375.5 million. Among them, its 5G package subscribers witnessed a net increase of 8.26 million, bringing the total number to 196.06 million.
In terms of wired broadband service, China Telecom increased its wired broadband users by 1.54 million in the month, bringing the total number to 171.25 million. In terms of fixed telephone service, China Telecom increased its telephone users by 230 thousand in the month, bringing the total up to 106.87 million. Remarkably, China Telecom witnessed a positive growth in the number of telephone users for the first time in more than a decade.
