China's H1 Telecom Business Revenue Increased by 3.2% YoY

According to the data of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in the first half of this year, China's telecom business revenue reached CNY 692.7 billion, achieved a year-on-year increase of 3.2%, and the growth rate increased by 1.4% compared with that in Q1.

The data indicates that in the first half of this year, the three major telecom operators achieved revenue of CNY 236.3 billion through fixed communication services, with a year-on-year increase of 12%; achieved mobile communication business revenue of CNY 456.4 billion, with a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%.

By the end of June, the total quantity of mobile phone subscribers of the three major telecom operators reached 1.595 billion, up by 0.6% year-on-year. Of which, the quantity of 4G subscriber was 1.283 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%, accounting for 80.4% of the total quantity of mobile phone subscribers, an increase of 0.2% compared to the first quarter.

The total quantity of the fixed wideband subscriber of the three major telecom operators reached 465 million, a year-on-year increase of 7% and a net increase of 15.73 million from the end of the previous year. Among them, there are 434 million FTTH/O subscribers, accounting for 93.2% of the total quantity of fixed broadband subscribers. There are 404 million subscribers with access rates of 100Mbps and above, accounting for 86.8% of the total number of subscribers, and 2.67 million subscribers with access rates of 1000Mbps and above.
