At the meeting, Wang Hui, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Beijing Communications Administration, pointed out that China has built the world's most technologically advanced and largest information and communication network. As the capital, Beijing actively promotes the high-quality development of the information and communication industry, aiming to build a global benchmark city for the digital economy and promote the two-way empowerment and deep integration of artificial intelligence with the information and communication industry.
Wang Hui introduced that by the end of 2025, the city had built a total of 152,800 5G base stations and 18,000 5G-A base stations, achieving universal coverage of 10-gigabit networks within the Fifth Ring Road and the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, providing a basic guarantee for the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology.
