China Telecom today announced its annual results for 2025. During the reporting period, the company achieved operating revenue of RMB 523.9 billion, of which service revenue was RMB 485.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.7%. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB 33.2 billion, up 0.5% year-on-year; core net profit after non-recurring gains and losses reached RMB 31.3 billion, an increase of 1.9%. Basic earnings per share were RMB 0.36. Capital expenditure amounted to RMB 80.4 billion.
In 2025, China Telecom continued to drive integrated development through a dual-engine approach, combining innovation-led foundational services with industry-focused digital businesses. Revenue from foundational services reached RMB 330.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.7%. The company's mobile subscriber base grew to 439 million, with 5G network user penetration reaching 68.8%. Broadband subscribers totaled 201 million, with gigabit broadband user penetration reaching 31.6%.
Revenue from industrial digitalization businesses amounted to RMB 147.3 billion, an increase of 0.5% year-on-year. Within this segment, resource-based revenue reached RMB 63.0 billion, up 1.1% year-on-year. Strategic emerging businesses continued to maintain rapid growth. Revenue from Tianyi Cloud reached RMB 120.7 billion, with its market share in the public cloud IaaS sector rising to second place in China, while its combined IaaS+PaaS market share ranked among the top three in the country. AIDC revenue reached RMB 34.5 billion, security revenue reached RMB 16.6 billion, and AI revenue reached RMB 12.3 billion. Additionally, revenue from the video surveillance network increased by 31.2% year-on-year, quantum technology revenue surged by 65.4%, and satellite communication revenue grew by 30.7%.
