At the 2025 Bay Area Semiconductor Industry Ecosystem Expo held yesterday, Qiyunfang, a subsidiary of New Kailai, unveiled two domestically developed electronic design automation (EDA) software tools for schematic and PCB design, boasting fully independent intellectual property rights. This marks a critical breakthrough for China in the field of high-end electronic design industrial software.
The newly released Qiyunfang EDA design software has reached international first-class standards in multiple key performance indicators: product performance has improved by 30% compared to industry benchmarks, hardware development cycles have been shortened by 40%, and the success rate of intelligent-assisted design for single-board development has increased by 30%.
The Qiyunfang EDA software tools are also compatible with a range of domestic operating systems, databases, middleware, and other foundational platforms, enabling integration with numerous ecosystem software.
According to Yuan Yi, President of the Qiyunfang Electronic Engineering EDA Business Unit, the product has already been launched in the market and is being used by over 20,000 engineers, with positive feedback from the downstream market.
