In accordance with the guidelines outlined in the "Guiding Opinions on Optimizing Market Access to Promote the Development of the Satellite Communication Industry," the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued a license to China Mobile for operating satellite mobile communication services.
Currently, following China Telecom, two other major telecommunications operators—China Mobile and China Unicom—have also obtained the qualifications to operate satellite mobile communication services. They are now authorized to legally carry out services such as direct satellite connectivity for mobile phones, enhancing applications in areas such as emergency communications, maritime communications, and communications in remote regions, thereby enriching the supply of communication services and products.
