At the 2025 China International Information and Communication Exhibition, Cheng Jianjun, Deputy General Manager of China Mobile, stated that China Mobile has built the world's largest 5G network, with over 2.6 million 5G base stations and 5G-A network covering all cities across the country. The "5G + Beidou" HD differential navigation network has been completed with more than 4,400 stations, providing high-precision navigation information for the low-altitude economy and unmanned driving. The company has built a low-altitude intelligent network integrating communication, perception, management and navigation, and advanced the layout of the space-ground integrated network. It has also completed the 400G backbone network direct connection project for the country's eight major hubs, helping to build a national integrated computing power system.
China Mobile has built 13 national and regional intelligent computing center nodes, with its own computing power reaching 61.3 EFLOPS. Meanwhile, it has developed the fully independent, controllable, safe and reliable multi-modal "Jiutian" artificial intelligence (AI) large model, based on which more than 50 industry-specific large models have been formed to serve the development of AI in various industries. In addition, it has built an AI upgrading platform to drive the technological and ecological maturity of domestic chips and domestic models.
Cheng Jianjun pointed out that currently, information and energy are accelerating integration, digital technology is accelerating integration with production, life and social governance, and carbon-based life and silicon-based life are also accelerating integration. Adhering to the concept of openness and win-win, China Mobile will accelerate the integrated development of technological innovation and industrial innovation.
