Recently, Huawei has released subscription instructions on its fourth term medium-term notes in the interbank market. It is seeking to raise 4 billion yuan with a term of 3 years and an interest rate of between 2.6% and 3.2%.
Huawei has beefed up its efforts to tap into the domestic bond market for credit this year. In January this year, Huawei issued its first and second mid-term notes of 2022 with terms of 3 years and 5 years, respectively. Their total proceeds reached 7 billion yuan (4 billion yuan +3 billion yuan). Following in February, Huawei issued the third term medium-term notes for 2022 with a maturity of 3 years and a total amount of 4 billion yuan. The company issued the second super & short-term commercial paper in April 2022, whose total value is 3 billion yuan.
Counting the issuance of the fourth medium-term notes, Huawei has sold 21 billion yuan of onshore bonds this year. That is more than two times the amount of bonds issued in 2021.
