Huawei has reportedly reduced its components orders for TV production by 30-40%, as the US trade ban that limits the company's access to semiconductor parts has also affected its business units other than chips and smartphones, according to industry sources.
Huawei has been forced to cut its TV components orders as it has been unable to secure sufficient supplies of related semiconductor components for TV production, said the sources. Huawei's TV business will be undermined further in 2021 if it fails to address the supply issue for related semiconductor components.
