According to the financial statement, China Telecom’s operating income reached 282.826 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2019, among which the service revenue increased by 2.5% YoY to 271.484 billion yuan; EBITDA was 91.973 billion yuan, up 13.8% YoY; and the profit attributable to shareholders was 18.389 billion yuan, down 3.4% YoY, and 2.5% up YoY if the lump sum profit of China Tower from going public in the third quarter of 2018 is removed.
As of the end of September, China Mobile had a total of 330 million subscribers, increasing by 274.3 million, among which the number of 4G users reached 275 million with a net increase of 32.94 million. The mobile internet traffic had a year-on-year growth of 84.5%. The monthly DOU for 4G subscribers reached 7.6GB, maintaining a rapid increase. The decrease of ARPU narrowed compared with the first half year. The subscribers of cable broadband reached 153 million, with a net increase of 6.87 million.
