Recently, China Telecom announced suppliers of single source procurement for the construction and application demonstration project of 5G scale networking (the part of primary wireless equipment). The suppliers of single source procurement in this project are Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., ZTE Corporation, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (China), Nokia Solutions and Networks System Technology Co., Ltd. (Beijing), and Datang Mobile Communications Equipment Co., Ltd..
According to the announcement, this project mainly involves procurement of primary and accessory equipment for 3.5GHz 5G wireless networks in Beijing, Hebei, Guangdong, Shanghai, Chongqing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hubei, Sichuan, Gansu, Fujian and Hainan, by means of leasing.
As announced, the reason for single source procurement is “other special circumstances stipulated by the state”.
