At a forum held by PT EXPO CHINA 2018 on September 27(Beijing Time), China Mobile Vice President Jian Qin said that China Mobile had built the world's largest 4G network and had more than 2 million 4G base stations at present,accounting for nearly a third of the global total; the total number of base stations reached 3.4 million; the number of fiber-to-the-home coverage families reached 420 million.

Through the promotion of mass data plan, the unit price of data for China Mobile's overall data fee decreased by 36% year-on-year in 2016 and decreased by 43% year-on-year in 2017. The data fee decreased by 60% year-on-year from January to August this year.
China Mobile implemented free speed-up according to requirements in terms of home broadband. The average price of 50Mbps home broadband dropped to CNY 30 per month and the average price of 100Mbps home broadband dropped to CNY 36 per month.
China Mobile had significantly reduced roaming charges in 74 countries with a maximum reduction of 90%. The average unit price of international roaming data charges in 208 countries decreased by 80% compared with 2015.
Jian Qin said that China Mobile had been conscientiously promoting the network to speed up and fee reduction and had already achieved remarkable results. The average unit price of mobile Internet access decreased by 89.8% compared with 2014 and various fee reduction measures benefited 3.97 billion customers.
Up to August this year, average monthly consumer spending of China Mobile's 4G users fell by 10.3%, but 4G users increased by 380 million compared with the end of 2015. Jian Qin believed that speed up and fee reduction will increase the number of users and enterprises will gain small profits but quick returns to maintain stable and rapid development.
