On December 22th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) posted the financial performance of the telecom sector from January to November, 2021. In the first 11 months of 2021, China’s telecom revenue totaled 1,345.4 billion RMB, up 8.1% year-on-year, but the growth dipped 0.1% from January-October growth. The telecom business at constant prices of the previous year grossed 1,542.4 billion RMB, up 27.7% year-on-year.
From January to November, the three basic telecom carriers earned 236.3 billion RMB from fixed data and Internet services, up 11.1 % year-on-year, 20.8 billion RMB and 106.7 billion RMB from fixed voice and mobile voice services, down 8.3% and 5% year-on-year, respectively, and 203.9 billion RMB from emerging services, up 28.4 % year-on-year.
