China Unicom on Tuesday released its operating data through the end of June 2026, showing continued momentum across its core strategic pillars of connectivity, computing power, services, and security as the company sharpens its competitive edge and drives high-quality growth.
On the connectivity side, total connections reached 1.31 billion at the end of the second quarter, a sequential increase of 20.7 million. Of that total, 5G subscribers numbered 248.5 million, up 6.5 million from the previous quarter, while IoT terminal connections hit 772.6 million, a rise of 17.5 million.
In computing power, China Unicom Cloud counted 491,000 enterprise and industrial clients at quarter-end, adding 53,000 sequentially. Paying users for its cloud-smart offerings—including Unicom Cloud Drive, Cloud-Smart Phones, Unicom Home Monitoring, and Unicom Ultra‑HD—reached 116.5 million, growing by 4.8 million quarter over quarter.
On the services and security front, smart services handled 85.9% of total customer-service interactions during the month, with a 96.0% satisfaction rate for resolved issues. The security business served 477,000 corporate and industrial clients, up 9,000 sequentially, with offerings spanning dedicated security lines, Unicom Shield, the Security Hub, and custom project-based solutions.
