C114 learned at the“2026 Global 6G Technology and Industry Ecosystem Conference”held on April 21 that China's first Pre-6G trial network has officially entered operation in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The trial network integrates innovative 6G technologies into the 5G framework, featuring high bandwidth, long-range coverage, low-latency deterministic capabilities, and native AI integration — delivering performance up to ten times that of 5G.
Currently, the network is undergoing systematic verification in areas such as low-altitude inspection, industrial manufacturing, embodied intelligence, and holographic communication. The launch of this trial network marks a transition from key technology validation to system-level capability verification for 6G, laying an important foundation for future 6G standardization and industrial applications.
