The 10th Batch of Satellites for the Qianfan Constellation Successfully Launched

Updated:2026/6/4 17:18

On June 1, Shanghai Yuanxin Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. sent the 10th batch of networking satellites of the Qianfan Constellation into pre-set orbit via a Long March 12B carrier rocket in a dual-satellite single-rocket launch mission at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, marking the full success of the launch campaign.

Developed and operated independently by Shanghai Yuanxin Satellite Technology Co., Ltd., the Qianfan Constellation is a domestically controllable low-Earth-orbit satellite internet system of China. Tailored primarily to the Belt and Road Initiative and the overseas expansion demands of Chinese-funded enterprises, the constellation delivers high-speed, real-time, secure and reliable integrated air-space-land-sea solutions and supporting services.

Notably, the Long March 12B carrier rocket tasked with this launch was developed under the overall lead of CASC Commercial Rocket Co., Ltd. A new-generation reusable launch vehicle with a 4-meter-diameter core stage, it is custom-built to accommodate China's large-scale commercial launch requirements for internet constellation deployment. No booster recovery test was arranged for the current mission, while first-stage recovery trials will be conducted at an appropriate time in follow-up missions.
