Russia’s Sputnik reports that China’s smartphones gained a market share of 55% in Russia in 2020, according to the research data released by M.Video-Eldorado, the largest retailer of electronics and home appliances in Russia.
Among them, Honor, Xiaomi and Huawei contributed to 45% of total sales volume. In addition, other Chinese smartphone brands such as ZTE, OPPO, VIVO, Realme and OnePlus also demonstrated good sales performance in the Russian market.
In 2020, a total of 31.5 million smartphones were sold in Russia, 17.3 million of which come from China. The figure grew by 15% year on year, with China’s smartphones seeing a further improvement in share in Russia.
