Hefei Liangchao Converged Computing Center Officially Launched and Put into Operation

Updated:2026/1/8 17:45

As reported by Science and Technology Daily on January 6, the Hefei Liangchao Converged Computing Center has been officially launched and put into operation, providing diverse quantum computing power services to the world.

It is reported that the construction and operation of the Hefei Liangchao Converged Computing Center is based on the "Chaohu Bright Moon" supercomputer. It has deployed 2 sets of 180+ qubit superconducting quantum computers and 1 set of 12-qubit ion trap quantum computer, and built a "quantum-supercomputer converged system" covering underlying operating systems and upper-layer software systems. It has become China's first quantum-supercomputer converged computing platform that realizes localized deployment and supports multiple technical routes. With the official launch of quantum computing power services, the center has achieved high-speed interconnection with multiple quantum computers, marking that China has entered a new stage of practical application in the field of quantum-supercomputer converged computing.

The Hefei Liangchao Converged Computing Center is implemented by Hefei Big Data Asset Operation Co., Ltd., and its construction was officially kicked off on April 3, 2024. Based on the "Chaohu Bright Moon" at Hefei Advanced Computing Center, the project has deployed 2 superconducting quantum computers and 1 ion trap quantum computer, adopting the "quantum-supercomputer converged computing" architecture to integrate quantum computing and classical computing capabilities. Companies including QuantumCTek, Origin Quantum and Guoyi Quantum have participated in the project construction.
