On May 19, Qualcomm officially launched the “Snapdragon 778G” —a new generation of the high-end mobile platform. The chip is designed with a TSMC 6nm process, and a built-in Kryo 670 CPU containing 4 pieces of Cortex-A78 and 4 pieces of Cortex-A55. Compared to the previous generation, its computing performance has jumped by 40%. Furthermore, its GPU of Adreno 642L boasts an increase of 40% in image rendering speed.
Qualcomm announced that the smartphones equipped with “Snapdragon 778G” would go on sale in the second quarter of this year. The chip would technologically support the upcoming high-end smartphones of HONOR, iQOO, Motorola, OPPO, Realme and MI.
