Recently on an internal meeting, Huawei Consumer Business CEO Yu Chengdong estimated that Huawei is to chalk up a global sales volume of about 230 million cellphones in this year. This figure means that Huawei cellphone has achieved its annual sales target, and is expected to surpass its counterpart iPhone in terms of the yearly sales volume.
Huawei has previously declared that its cellphone sales volume up to October 22, 2019 has exceeded 200 pieces, having achieved its sales target 64 days ahead of schedule.
Since May in this year, due to sanctions imposed by the US, Huawei’s cellphone sales have been greatly impacted in the overseas market. However, Huawei has strengthened its expansion in the domestic market, and has secured a domestic market share of nearly 50% according to the newest statistics.
