Among its key business segments, Huawei's Connectivity division maintained stable results despite industry investment downturns. The Computing segment capitalized on a decade-long strategic investment, achieving significant growth by leveraging AI opportunities. The Consumer division returned to a fast growth trajectory, with the HarmonyOS ecosystem making historic breakthroughs. Huawei Cloud continued to optimize its business structure, Digital Energy prioritized quality, and the Intelligent Automotive Solutions division achieved profitability for the first time.
Huawei's substantial investment in research and development (R&D) is a crucial strategy for navigating complex external challenges and ensuring sustainable growth. The company consistently allocates over 10% of its annual revenue to R&D, with expenditures reaching 179.7 billion yuan in 2024, accounting for approximately 20.8% of its total revenue. Over the past decade, Huawei has invested more than 1.249 trillion yuan in R&D.
Rotating Chairwoman Meng Wanzhou highlighted that in 2025, Huawei will further integrate a "quality-first" approach into its management systems and business activities, relying on quality objectives to continually enhance competitive strength.
