Richard Yu, Huawei's Executive Director and Chairman of the Consumer BG, revealed on Weibo today that the number of HarmonyOS 5 devices has exceeded 10 million.
At the Developer Conference held in June this year, Yu announced that the number of registered HarmonyOS developers had surpassed 8 million, with over 40 Huawei device models running HarmonyOS 5. The system has added more than 260 new features, and developers have submitted over 270,000 versions. Countless developers and partners have joined the HarmonyOS ecosystem, actively embracing its limitless possibilities.
Notably, in the enterprise and government sector, apps like WeChat Work and DingTalk are accelerating their adaptation to HarmonyOS. HarmonyOS-powered office applications now serve more than 38 million businesses.
Yu stated that as the fastest-growing open-source operating system, OpenHarmony has amassed over 130 million lines of code, with nearly 9,000 community contributors. It supports 1,200 hardware and software products, and there are now 69 third-party distributions, covering sectors such as government, transportation, finance, energy, water conservancy, and construction.
