Ericsson on the Joint Construction and Sharing of 5G Network: The Influence is Little

Updated:2019/9/19 23:07

In allusion to the recent Joint Construction and Sharing Protocol of 5G Network signed between China Unicom and China Telecom, Zhao Juntao, the president of Ericsson China, said in the C114 exclusive interview that the real challenge of joint construction and sharing of 5G network actually lies in the operation, i.e., in how both operators should collaborate closely to jointly adapt to market changes and market demands. For equipment suppliers, the total amount may be influenced in some degree, but the influence may not be particularly large. Nevertheless, this is still an opportunity.

“Certainly, we hope to set a true example in the world and become the successful case worldwide by this co-construction and sharing between China Unicom and China Telecom.” According to Zhao Juntao, Ericsson is also actively preparing for the co-construction and sharing of 5G network, as it delegates its related technical departments to study and handle this new situation.
