Recently, China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom have released the 2024 annual remuneration details of their senior executives.
The highest annual payable salary at China Telecom in 2024 went to Ke Ruiwen, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, amounting to RMB 953,500. At China Mobile, the top 2024 annual payable salary was claimed by Yang Jie, then Chairman and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, standing at RMB 972,100. Yang Jie retired in October 2025 upon reaching the mandatory retirement age. For China Unicom, Chen Zhongyue, who served as Chairman and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group at the time, took the highest annual payable salary in 2024, which was RMB 914,900. Chen Zhongyue has assumed the position of Chairman of China Mobile since October 2025, and Dong Xin currently serves as Chairman of China Unicom.
The remuneration levels are basically aligned with the operating performance of the three telecom giants. In 2024, China Mobile recorded an annual operating revenue of RMB 1.0408 trillion, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.1%; its net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company hit RMB 138.4 billion, up 5.0% year on year. China Telecom achieved an operating revenue of RMB 523.6 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 3.1%, and its net profit reached RMB 33 billion, a year-on-year rise of 8.4%. China Unicom posted an operating revenue of RMB 389.6 billion, up 4.6% year on year, and its net profit stood at RMB 20.6 billion, registering a year-on-year growth of 10.1%.
