ZTE Corporation announced today that the first meeting of its 10th Board of Directors successfully reviewed and approved the proposal to elect the Chairman of the 10th Board. Fang Rong has been elected as the new Chairman of the company.
In addition, the 10th Board of Directors of ZTE Corporation appointed the company's new senior management team. Xu Ziyang will continue to serve as the President of ZTE, while Wang Xiyu, Li Ying, and Xie Junshi have been appointed as Executive Vice Presidents, responsible for research and development, finance, and operations management and marketing, respectively.
Fang Rong is a seasoned expert in the information and communications industry. She graduated from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications with a degree in Communication Engineering. She joined ZTE Holdings in 1995 and moved to ZTE Corporation in 1997. Fang served as Senior Vice President of ZTE Corporation from 1998 to 2009. Since 2018, she has been a member of the Board, acting as a non-executive director of the company.
