On July 22, 2021, according to the bulletin of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), China Telecom’s application for IPO was approved by the examination committee on the same day.
From releasing the announcement of return to A-share market to obtaining approval, it only took four months for China Telecom. This makes China Telecom the second of “the big three” telecommunication companies to return to A-share market following China Unicom.
According to the bulletin, China Telecom applied for main board listing in Shanghai Stock Exchange, with public offering of no more than 12.1 billion A-shares and estimated fundraising of 54.4 billion yuan. If succeed, China Telecom will have the “A+H” dual listing platforms.
