The Information Office of the State Council held a press conference at 10 a.m. this morning, which revealed that the Chinese information communications industry enjoys a smooth and positive development. Based on the constant price of last year, the telecommunications services had a large year-on-year increse of 18.6% in the first three quarters, while the fixed-asset investments increased by 16.5% on a year-on -year basis.
Among it, 5G investment accounted for 38.2% of the total. 5G network and terminal business developed very fast. By the end of September, there has been 690,000 5G base stations in total, whose current terminal connections have reached over 0.16 billion households.
