China Telecom has released its operational data for August 2020. In that month, China Telecom's mobile subscribers increased by 1.62 million, and the cumulative quantity of mobile subscribers reached 347.69 million. The quantity of 5G package subscribers achieved a net increase of 70,000 in the month, and 5G package subscribers totaled 57.14 million.
China Telecom indicated that in order to align with the company's mobile business development strategy and further enhance the accuracy of the disclosed information, after the launch of 5G services, the company will only disclose the quantity of 5G package subscribers and mobile users, and no longer disclose 4G subscribers data.
