Recently, the news that the 2nd phase of China's National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund (Big Fund) has been established and that Big Fund will start substantial investment by the end of March has aroused hot discussion in and out the industry. However, according to rumors in the industry, Big Fund has taken action in advance and plans to invest CNY2.25 billion in UNISOC.
UNISOC is the only 5G chip supplier in mainland China and also one of the only three independent 5G chip suppliers around the world. The other two are Qualcomm in the United States and MediaTek.Inc in Taiwan, China.
