Chinese Chip Self-sufficient Rate Will Go Up to 70% by 2025

Updated:2020/8/21 11:05

As indicated by Chinese customs office, China imported 304 billion U.S. dollars’ worth of chips in 2019, much more than that of crude oil which ranked the second on the import turnover list. The figure, however, was less than that of 2018 by 8 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year fall of 2.6%.

According to relevant information from the State Council, China will see a self-sufficient rate of chips of 70% by 2025. However, only 30% of domestically-needed chips can be supplied by China itself in 2019.
