Beijing Mobile has launched the tender process for the EPC general contracting project covering the mechanical and electrical auxiliary works for the A4, A5, and A6 equipment buildings at its Beichen Data Center.
The project is located at No. 609 Jinyu Highway, Beichen District, Tianjin, and is divided into four components with individual ceilings: design fees set at 11.434 million yuan, liquid-cooled equipment at 1.25 billion yuan, air-cooled equipment at 297 million yuan, and construction work at 295 million yuan — bringing the total investment to approximately 1.853 billion yuan.
The initiative marks a significant part of China Mobile's broader push to build out smart computing infrastructure. Notably, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is one of the eight national hub nodes under the "East Data, West Computing" project, and all three major telecom operators have prioritized data center deployments in Tianjin.
