Huawei Consumer Business Q1 Performance: Mobile Phones Down 17%

At yesterday’s Huawei Consumer Business Summit, Shao Yang, the Chief Strategy Officer of Huawei consumer business, announced the results of Huawei consumer business in the first quarter of this year: in the global market, the total global sales of Huawei consumer business saw a year-on-year increase in 2020 Q1, including 17% down for mobile phones, 120% increase for PC, 60% increase for wearable, 70% increase for routers, and 130% increase for TWS headphones.

According to the latest quarterly mobile phone tracking report released by IDC, China's smartphone market shipment decreased by 20.3% year-on-year to about 66.6 million units in 2020 Q1. Among them, Huawei shipment decreased by 4.4% to 28.4 million units in Q1, with a market share of 42.6%.

Based on the latest research by Strategy Analytics, global 5G smartphone shipment increased to 24.1 million units in 2020 Q1, of which Huawei global 5G smartphone shipments reached 8 million units in Q1, ranking second with a market share of 33.2%.
