On Apr. 20, Yu Chengdong, managing director and CEO of the terminal business of Huawei, announced that Huawei "consumer business" was renamed "terminal business", now officially entering the commercial terminal market.
According to Yu Chengdong, Huawei’s future terminal business will fully cover consumer products and commercial products— consumer products continue to focus on serving consumers while commercial products are devoted to government and corporate clients. Yu also revealed that Huawei terminal business would rely on its two ecosystems of hardware and software to enrich its product categories including commercial laptops, desktops and monitors, tablets, smart screens, and wearables, with emphasis on providing commercial office solutions for the government and six major industries— education, medical care, manufacturing, transportation, finance, and energy.
